Privacy, security & human oversight

Resident information should support care without taking control away from people.

This page gives aged-care managers, privacy and governance staff, and IT teams a high-level view of how Project Meredith approaches supervised pilots. Detailed facility-specific arrangements are agreed and documented before any real resident calls begin.

Human care remains centralMeredith supports routine check-ins. Staff retain judgement, relationships and follow-up.
Access is for authorised usersResident information is intended to be available only to people with an approved care or oversight role.
Start small and supervisedPilot questions, residents, reviewers and escalation pathways are agreed before launch.

What information may be handled during a pilot

A supervised pilot may need resident contact and scheduling details, answers provided during an agreed wellbeing check-in, a structured outcome or summary for review, and information about care-team follow-up. The exact information used for a facility pilot should be defined before launch and limited to what is needed for the agreed purpose.

Authorised access

Project Meredith is designed around authorised care-team access rather than public access to resident information. A facility should decide who may view each resident's information and what role those users have. Access arrangements, resident assignments and reviewer responsibilities should be confirmed as part of pilot setup.

Human oversight and escalation boundaries

Meredith does not diagnose, prescribe treatment, make clinical decisions or replace clinical judgement. GREEN, YELLOW and RED are workflow categories intended to help staff review routine results, support requests and information requiring prompt attention. They are not diagnoses or clinical risk scores. Care staff remain responsible for reviewing the information and following the facility's agreed response and escalation pathway.

Resident choice, consent and withdrawal

A real resident should not be included in a supervised pilot simply because the technology is available. The facility's agreed resident information and consent process should be completed before participation, including how a resident can ask questions, decline participation or withdraw. The public demonstration uses fictional resident scenarios only. Recorded examples are system test calls and are not recordings of real aged-care residents.

Pilot controls

For an initial pilot, Project Meredith is intended to operate with a small agreed resident group, predefined questions and call schedules, named authorised reviewers, a documented response pathway and active human review. For the initial supervised pilot, recording is intended to remain off unless a separate approved and consented arrangement is put in place.

Security approach

The public marketing website is separate from the resident care system and does not contain resident records. Pilot environments are intended to use controlled access and facility-specific configuration so resident information is not exposed through the public website. Sensitive credentials and infrastructure secrets are not published on this site. Specific security and access arrangements should be reviewed with the participating organisation before launch.

Technology providers and information flows

Project Meredith relies on external technology, hosting and communications services to operate. Rather than making broad compliance claims on a marketing page, the relevant providers, information flows and processing locations for a real pilot should be documented and reviewed with the participating organisation before residents are enrolled.

Incidents, concerns and governance review

A supervised pilot should identify who is responsible for operational, privacy, technical and care-related concerns before launch. If an issue occurs, Project Meredith and the facility should use the agreed contacts and response process rather than relying on the public website as an operational channel.

Website enquiries

The public contact form asks for your name, organisation, email address and message so Project Meredith can respond to your enquiry. Please do not submit resident names, health information or other sensitive personal information. The website sends the enquiry by email and does not create a public enquiry database or use the form information for automated decision-making.

Website security and session information

The contact form uses a dedicated session cookie for anti-forgery protection and basic rate limiting, together with a hidden anti-spam field. The session cookie expires when the browser session ends. These website controls are separate from any facility pilot access controls.

Questions before a pilot

Privacy, governance, security and pilot-control questions can be raised before any resident is enrolled. Contact Hello@Projectmeredith.com.au or call (02) 4989 5849.
